Apple-anche!

We had a good day today! After the bulk of our school was done we went apple picking at a local painter's house. She and her husband have acre upon acre of organically cared for fruit trees, ponds, it is lovely. They bought it a long time ago when land prices were low. The children were very helpful which is a huge encouragement to me.I titled the post apple-anche because many of the low branches were picked out and we had to shake down dome of the higher ones. We finished school work when we got home.

The few ideas I shared a few days ago are making a huge difference. Another thing I have been doing is making the child who is doing school a cup of herbal tea. I also light a candle on the table. I am finding it helps to encourage stillness and maturity.
